About Us
The 6th grade band program is divided into like-instrument groups to facilitate the teaching of fundamentals and to ensure success and more personalized instruction for all our band students.
The 6th grade band curriculum prepares our youngest band members to be musically successful as they continue through the band program.
The Middle School Band Program (grades 7 and 8) is designed to enhance the fundamental music skills our band students have acquired in the 6th grade setting, and to apply these skills to real performance situations.The band performs at pep rallies and will participate in the annual Winter and Spring Concerts.
The Middle School Band will participate in the UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest, and students in this organization will be urged to participate in All-Region Band tryouts and Solo and Ensemble Contest.
