About Us
The 6th grade band program is divided into like-instrument groups to facilitate the teaching of fundamentals and to ensure success and more personalized instruction for all our band students.
The 6th grade band curriculum prepares our youngest band members to be musically successful as they continue through the band program.
The Honors and Symphonic Bands (grades 7 and 8) are designed to enhance the fundamental music skills our band students have acquired in the 6th grade setting, and to apply these skills to real performance situations.The bands perform at pep rallies and will participate in the annual Winter and Spring Concerts.
The Honors and Symphonic Bands will participate in the UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest, and students in these organization will be urged to participate in the Central Texas Middle School Honor Band tryouts and Solo and Ensemble Contest.
